Travel health cover is the classic holiday policy, for trips of 30 to 92 days. Expatriate health cover fully replaces statutory health insurance abroad, usually for longer stays — study, a sabbatical, retirement. For most people an annual travel health policy is enough.
With most providers: yes, including western Ukraine. Eastern regions such as Donetsk and Luhansk, or areas near the front, are usually excluded. We check the exact scope before you sign.
When you have to break off a trip that has already started because of illness, an accident or a death in the family. You are refunded the unused part of the trip plus the additional cost of returning.
Yes, in almost all current plans — both as medical costs and as a reason for cancellation, on a positive diagnosis before departure with a certificate of unfitness to travel.
With good travel policies: 0 €. Be careful with cheap online offers — there it is often 50–100 € per claim.
Skiing is usually standard. Diving above 40 m and climbing up to grade 4 are often included. Extreme sports such as parachuting or guided mountain tours usually only with a surcharge — we check for you.
